# Animating a Character

Each Linteum compatible pack should include an "Avatar" asset along with the base character models. To use this, simply attach an animator to your root prefab, and ensure that the **Avatar** field is filled in with this avatar asset.

You will however need to supply your own animations and/or avatar controller.
